We promote good, common sense parenting - staying abreast of medical and child development issues, and being an involved parent. We are also NOT a part of the mistaken image that SAHM's are subservient, meek creatures living vicariously through their husbands and children. We are a group of educated women, some with advanced degrees, some self educated - but with a desire to know more about the world around us and be an active player in it. Because children are so important to us, we are vehement defenders of children's rights and are constantly concerned about the condition of children throughout the world. We are THINKING women - interested in reading, world events, philosophy, gardening, architecture, sports, hobbies - the list is endless! On our list we may discuss potty training or Pulitzer Prize winners; tantrums or theater; wine or "Whine!!" We strive to find solutions to problems and ways that can enrich our parenting experience and our children's lives. Close to home, we are also involved in the practical, day to day matters of living - what to fix for a dinner party, how to save money, how to decorate our new or old house and the best activities for children. Please join us in the wonderful world of stay at home mothering!!
