Hrh Is Daughter of Hussein bin Talal King of Jordan and Alia Toukan.
Haya has one brother: Ali (1975); four half-brothers: Abdallah(1962, married), Feisal (1963, married), Hamzah (1980) and Hashim (1981); five half-sisters: Alia (1956, married), Zein (1968, married), Aisha (1968, married), Iman (1983) and Raiyah (1986); and one adopted sister: Abir Muheisen (1973?).
Haya went to an english boardingschool when she was 11 years old, first to Badminton and then to Bryanston. Afterwards she took a degree in politics, philosophy and economics at Oxford University, Great Britain. After graduating in 1995 she lived in Tara, Ireland, for a while to improve her skills in horse-riding. She now owns seven horses which she trains in Steinfeld, northern Germany, where she lives also. In 1995 she received the BBC Arab Athlete of the Year Award.Her interests are especially children, health, education and sports, but also dogs. She speaks seven languages fluently, has a license to drive heavy goods vehicles. Haya is president of several foundations, including the Queen Alia Foundation for the Hearing and Speech Impaired (knows both Arabic and English sign languages) and the Jordan Anti-Smoking Society.
