I sighed softly as I began studying for my history test tomorrow. We had the night off, for a change, so I decided that I wasn't gonna to fail this test. I began reading the text in front of me. Man, this is boring, I thought. I closed the book. Oh well, I'll just wing it. I put the book away and zipped up my bookbag.
I turned on my TV and sat back against the pillows on my bed. I flipped through the channels. I stopped on MTV. I layed there watching music videos. Something that I haven't done in a while. I watched Britney Spears' new video, "Lucky." I stared blankly at the screen, trying to figure out why there where two Britney's. Good Lord, one was enough! I thought to myself.
"That video is stupid..." I didn't realize I said that out loud.
I turned on my bed to face Tobias. I smiled at him and shook my head. I sat up and walked over to the window, opening it. He flew in, landing on my dresser.
"So, what brings you here tonight?"
I nodded and walked over to my closet and took out a pair of khakis and a black short sleeve shirt. I opened the bathroom door and set the clothes on the sink. I motioned him to go into the bathroom. He quickly flew in there as I shut the door. A few minutes later, Tobias, now in human morph emerged. I smiled at him. He returned the smile and walked over to me.
"Rachel, I need to tell you something."
"All right, what is it?"
"Rachel...I...."
I watched him carefully. He pulled me to my feet and held my shoulders. I looked up at him. He took a deep breath, then looked into my eyes. I looked back, getting lost in those...wonderful eyes of his. I sighed softly.
"Rachel, I love you. There, I said it." He smiled.
I smiled softly. "I love you, too, Tobias."
He kissed me then. My first kiss from him. Well, actually it wasn't. It was third kiss from him. But, it's been a while since he's kissed me, so I sorta forgot. I kissed him back passionately, wrapping my arms around his neck, him wrapping his arms around my waist, drawing me closer to him. I pulled back a few minutes later, smiling. Tobias was smiling, too.
We layed on my bed, watching TV for about an hour. I frowned when he told me he had to go. He kissed me one last time before demorphing. I opened the window for him. He hopped onto the windowsill. I smiled.
"Good night, Tobias. Sweet dreams and I love you."
I rolled my eyes and smiled. I watched Tobias fly off into the distance. I shut my window and went to lay down. I looked at the clock. I yawned and decided I'd go to sleep early. I crawled into bed and after getting into a comfortable position, I began to drift off to sleep. Before falling asleep, I muttered softly.
"Sweet dreams, Tobias. I love you."
