1. There was once a king who had five sons. The first of his sons (Joe) was womanizer; the second (Jerry) was a thief, the third (John) was a liar, the fourth (James) was a magician , while the last (Jeremiah) was a hunter. After they were full grown, they set off to live together on their own, not with their father any more. About two miles away from their father's palace was another kingdom (the Kingdom of Moronika). Joe, the womanizer fell in love the queen of Moronika and he paid constant visit there. The queen devised a plan to save Joe when her husband became suspicious of their affairs. She told Joe that whenever he sees her wedding ring above the door, it means that her husband, the king, is in, and he should not dare to knock.
One day, Joe was on his way to pay the queen his timely visit when Jerry had already gone ahead and stolen the queen's beautiful ring she had placed above the door. Meanwhile, Joe took John, the liar, and James, the magician along while Jeremiah went on hunting spree. when they got there, Joe knocked since he did not see the ring above the door. The king became so furious that he answered in rage:"Who's knocking on my door?" Joe was afraid to answer, but James did. James said, "King, we have killed the lion that had been disturbing you and your kingdom." The king became happy at this and he said, "Well, if this is true, I give half of my kingdom and half of my riches to the person who did me this good thing." At this time, no one killed a lion, but it was James' job - to lie. Together, Joe, James, and and John set off for the place where James said they had killed the lion. Meanwhile, John, unknown to them, began to play magic for a lion to appear. The lion appeared to Jeremiah while he was hunting. He shot it. At the sound of this, James said, "yes king, I tld you. We killed it. I guess it was trying to run away that's why you're hearing a second round of shooting. They follwed the sound of the shooting, and when they got there, Jeremiah had killed a lion.
As per the king's promise, he has the halves of both his riches and kingdom to share. if he must give them out, which of the boys do you thinks was the cause of them being rich, and who must be their king? Please give reason for your answer.
