The Girls
One would say that such a dress code would be risqué for an 18th, but not in 2004-especially for 2 of Australia's top models. On the 25th of September the twins celebrated their 18th birthday party in style with a massive 300 guests! The girls said that 'An 18th should be the biggest party you ever hold.'
Venue
Like any great party there cannot just be one venue. The night began at the girls parents Vaucluse home in Sydney's east, with pre drinks just with close family and friends. At 7pm a double Decker party bus arrived and carted the guests to the 2nd destination where the real partying would occur. The remaining 250 guests were already on the Lady Rose Boat when the bus arrived in King St Wharf. Once all the guests were on the boat the night began. After hours of fun the guests were then dropped off at Milsons point wharf. About 100 guests were then invited to a small after party at an exclusive club in the city. For every 6 people there was their own limousine.
There were a variety of guests that attended the 18th, guests could only come by invite and were required to have ID.
Portia and Bianca Bexter, Mason Bexter (father), Claire Bexter (mother), Tiffini Mitchell (cousin), Seth Roberts (Portia's ex Boyfriend), Matt Evringham (Bianca's ex boyfriend, however both girls remain close to their exes), Lachlan Murray (Portia's current boyfriend), Matt Giteau (Bianca's present boyfriend), Marie-ange Duphain, Jessica Cleave, James Zimms, Rove Macmanus, Belinda Emmet, Tamin Sursock, Kylie Minouge managed to make an appearance as she was in Australia filming Kath and Kim, Gina Riley, Jane Turner, Delta Goodrum, Ian Thorpe, Guy Sebastian, Shannon Knoll and wife, Milsy, Andre G, James Mathison, Jackie O and Kyle, Sarah O’Hare, Jodi Packer, Sarah Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton from Sass and Bide, Morrissey, Wayne Cooper, Lisa Ho, Sophie Monk, The band JET. International Guests included Collin Farrell, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Moss, Estella Warren, Samantha Mumba, Craig David, Fred Durst, Pharrel Williams.
The girls received many video messages from guests over seas that were unable to attend.
Mary-Kate and Ashley wished the girls an 'awesome day.' and to 'try and stay on their best behaviour' The Olsen’s also gave Bianca a Chanel necklace and Portia Gucci sunglasses.
Paris Hilton hoped that the girls would 'party hard and drink lots of cocktails.' on her behalf. Paris was sorry she couldn’t make it as she has become quite acquainted with the girls on her visits down under and also recently when the girls travelled to USA for the New York Fashion week. Paris Gave each girl a personalised Tiffany and Co dog tag necklace with their names engraved on it.
Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Bijoux Phillips and Tara Reid all went in on buying each girl a pair of pink diamond earrings from prestigious jeweller Cartier.
Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake sent their best wishes and a Louis Vuitton bag for each.
Usher sent Portia a Prada dress and on the card it said ' Make sure you wear this when we dance next time...' Should Lachlan be keeping an eye on his girl?
Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush sent Bianca a variety of assorted alcoholic beverages.
Mason and Claire Bexter gave the girls an apartment in South Yarra in Melbourne, a trip to the Bahamas to stay in the hotel Atlantis and DG $40 000 diamond studded watches with their name and birth date engraved. Portia received a 7200 nokia phone, a full set of gym equipment, Louis vuitton heels and Louis vuitton suitcase set. Bianca received a Birken bag, ice skates, Vera Wang perfume, a real Kandinsky painting and Giorgio Armani beaded and silk embrioded dress.
Matt Gitteau gave Bianca a white gold diamond clasp bracelet.
Lachlan Murray gave Portia Tiffany and Co Diamond string necklace.
Tiffani Mitchell (girl’s cousin and close friend) really spoiled the girls. She gave Bianca a Chanel bag and a Dior evening dress. Portia was given Louis Vuitton swimwear and a Chanel charm bracelet.
Both girls looked stunning with a touch of fun and charm. As the dress code was 'Naughty but nice' Bianca went as her favourite superhero cat woman. Bianca wore a real leather cat suite which was imported from America. She has matching real fur ears. She wore Manolo black pumps. Her hair was darker than usual and was dead straight, makeup was sexy and dark. Both girls makeup was done by renowned Italian makeup artist Vivian Presario. Portia wore a specially designed playboy bunny leotard made for her by Peter Morrissey with bunny ears, cuflings, bow-tie and fluffy tail. She wore fish nets with fluffy kitty heels from Jimmy Choo. Her hair was inspired by Farah Fawcett and her makeup was bright and kinky.
The girls arrived fashionably late at their own house to pre drinks by about half an hour. The girls blamed each other for their lateness. The girls began to drink upon arrival and remained quite sober until the bus arrived. On the bus the girls were dancing and smoking while still enjoying the company of a champagne glass. When at the actual party they managed to have tame behaviour and were very polite in greeting guests and mingling. The girls were very entertained by many funny and embarrassing stories in the speeches, which were made by Mason Bexter and Marie-Ange Duphain and they both made individual responses. When arriving at the after party both girls relied on their boyfriends to help escort them into the venue. They partied until 4am and when they finally left, they had to be escorted into the waiting limousine.
