The Hilo Junior Bowling club has been meeting on Saturday mornings
for over 30 years. Established circa 1970, the Hilo Junior Bowling
club's (started by Leslie Tanimoto, Debbie Amaral) philosophy of
shaping potential talent has never changed. Mixing fun with technique
is helpful in keeping youth interested in bowling while developing
integral physical and mental skills. As those skills progress, the
youth is asked to compete in local or national events. One of these
events is the Hilo Junior Bowling Invitational Thanksgiving Tournament.
It is one of the longest running tournaments in the state of Hawaii.
Started in 1970, it has brought some of Hawaii's best young talent to
the little town of Hilo for a weekend of competition and fun. So come
and check us out! We meet on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. Any youth up
