yo- a greeting (ex. yo, what up )

mug (or muggin) - to stare at someone in a crazy or mean way, which will usually get you hurt

hater- a jealous or envious person (ex. man why you hating on my shoes)

ice- diamonds, platinum (ex. Nigga my chain is iced out)

battle- to rap against another MC ( self explanatory)

bootleg- to sell illegally; usually refers to CD's, tapes, movies , and usually sold on the street by crackheads or hustlers

Uptowns- Nike Air Force 1's, that come in hi, mid, and low tops

Timbs- Timberland boots, usually refers to 6 inch premium boots

Wally- shorter word for Wallabee boots, term made popular by Wu-Tang member, "Ghostface Killah"- known as the wally champ

assassins- type of car rims

V- car or also known as a "ride"

Whips- also known as a "V" or a "ride"

Floss- to flaunt or show off (ex. That nigga tryin to floss that Coogi that took him 7 months
to pay for.)

brain- see "head" (ex. i heard she give brain !)

head-to give oral sex to a male ( you know what i mean)

cop- to get, buy , or acquire (ex. Ayyo I just copped those new J's the day they dropped)

J- Jordans ( shoes), or a tight jumpshot (basketball)

2way- a 2 way pager ( contact device)

busted- to be unusually ugly or to be caught by the feds or cop

beanie baby- a beanie sigel wannabee

jakes- cops

'drohydro nah mean- shortened term for "know what i mean" (ex. ya nah mean ( you know what i mean).

ma- term for a female (ex. what up ma)

pa- term for a male (ex. what up pa)

bump- to play music in a loud system (ex. that dude drove by bumpin Biggie in the truck)

cat- another term for nigga (ex. them cats is crazy..)

dun- also another term for nigga (ex. yo what up dun )

QB- Queensbridge projects

beef- to be at war with (ex. them niggaz got beef wit us dun)

freestyle- to rap or rhyme freely without writing and to make up as you go along

dime- a pretty female (ex. ayyo shorty is a dime)

shorty- a female or young kid

ill- tight or raw, nice ( ex. that track is ill)

BK- Brooklyn

pigeontrifflin female chickenhead- a female who tries to be a golddigger

groupies- usually a female that freeloads backstage at rap concerts and events and will do
whatever to be on tv or to be seen; but can also be males that try to hang with rappers and hip hop artist

video hoes - girls that are usually spotted in videos dancing or doing whatver it takes to be seen

chief- to smoke blunts (ex. we chief all day nigga)

weedhead- a person that is always smoking and usually they dont know what the hell they're talkin about cuz they usually high...

jackin for beats- to rap on someone else's beats

holla- a greeting that means the same as bye (ex. i'll holla at you later)

7:30- slang for crazy (ex. those niggaz is 7:30 man so dont deal wit dem)
