I am a professional composer of classical music. Among my prizes and awards:
First Prize in the Virginia Delillo Carty Competition
the Ellen Taaffe Zwilich Prize in the IAWM Search for New Music
the Leopold Schepp Foundation Scholarship
the Sarah I. Nadler Memorial Award in Music
the Maynard Klein Musicians Award.
My works include two orchestra pieces, a chamber opera scene, several works for smaller chamber ensembles, choir pieces, and songs. Click here to see full works list.
My Masters degree is from The Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD where I studied with Dr. Nicholas Maw and served as the Composition Department's graduate assistant.
I graduated with a BFA from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where I studied with Dr. Barbara Jazwinski.
