About WLMO
West Liberal Mission Outreach is an outreach ministry located in Liberal, Missouri. The ministry began in 1996 when the Knox's packed up their six children and all their belongings and left their life long home in the Kansas City metropolotain area to answer the call of God. For the first two years the Knox's held services in their tiny rental home in the country...while passing out tracts, Bibles, and literature door-to-door...praying with folks along the way. They also conducted several special services at the community center, hosted a weekly Christian movie night, and did whatever they could to reach out to the people of the community and surrounding area. Then...in 1998 the Lord very graciously provided facilities in which to house the ministry within the city limits. During the next four years West Liberal Mission Outreach continued to serve the people of Liberal and beyond in a variety of ways...through Bible-based preaching and teaching of the Word...children's classes...free Bible courses by mail...an audio tape ministry...a free annual Thanksgiving dinner to all area residents who had no one with whom to spend the holiday...a food pantry, and to this day publishes a free newsletter and teaching sheet which is received by hundreds of people around the world each month. In October of 2001 WLMO went back to it's original format of in-home meetings and in October of 2002 the Lord, again, saw fit to house us in a building. At the present time we are holding meetings in a building at the corner of Main and Yale Streets in Liberal. As we press in and enter this new millinium our vision will continue to focus on the good news of the gospel however and wherever the Lord directs. Thank you for stopping in to visit with us.
