Dedicated To My Mom

Now that spring is near I am feeling the need to update this page. I want to reflect the promise of spring and our risen Saviour in this page dedicated to my mom. It is because of Jesus Christ that we can rejoice in our grief and know that someday we will all be together again in our "true home" in Heaven. I hope you enjoy the graphics that I have chosen for this update and also hope that you will visit my "Good News" page for more information on how we all have the assurance of joining our christian family in Heaven someday.

Written In The Fall Of 1998
This page is dedicated to my mom. For the past year she has been battling the dreaded monster called "Cancer". She has been a shining example to me of how a person needs to always keep their eyes on God for strength. Even though she could be a very bitter person with everything that she has already been through in her life, she is not. She has allowed the joy and comfort of knowing our Lord shine through even in the toughest times.

Mom, I love you, and I thank God for the wonderful example that you have been and continue to be to your children and grandchildren!

Psalm 94:19 "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul."

In Memory Of My Mom

On May 30, 1999, my mom died from cancer. It was melenoma that had begun on the skin surface 18 years ago and had been dormant all these years until now. Once it internalized she shared another year and a half with us before going home to be with our Saviour in Heaven. This is what I wrote and read at her memorial service.

"Only one life, twill soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last."

If there is a way to sum up in a few words, the type of life my mom lived, it would be with this poem. So many people have been touched by her Christian care and compassion. And by touching others in this way, she has left a rich spiritual legacy, not only for her children and grandchildren, but also for every life she has touched. We discovered a small notebook of my mom's and when I openned it I was not surprised to see another list, and I was impressed with the words she had written. In it she had listed her life's goals which I would like to share with you.

I am truly inspired by the fact that my mom accomplished everything that she had listed for her goals. Her close relationship with Christ, her determination, her desire to bring cheer to other's lives, her hospitality....they are the most worthwhile things that we as her children, grandchildren, family and friends will carry with us always.

Thank you Mom!!!
