Carroll Iowa Support Group
We have a meeting once a month at the St. Anthony Hospital in 
Carroll, Iowa.  We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in 
meeting room #2.  We have speakers and also group sessions.

The Red Oak, Iowa Fibromyalgia Support Group monthly meeting was held in the Pioneer Heritage room at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. The topic of discussion was learning how to talk and think positively. Even though fibromyalgia is not 'just in your mind', you have to use your mind to get above this disorder. A positive attitude is very essential in maintaining good self-esteem. Learning to change the I CAN'T, to maybe I could try, or if I can't today, that doesn't mean I won't ever do something again. You have to take each day as it comes along, don't dwell on the past. This is a very difficult change in lifestyle, something that still gives me trouble...but I am working on improving how I think about my life and the many things I can still do.

Next meeting is the fourth Tuesday of October. All are welcome.
