Assessment Criteria/Expected Results: the average rating of student achievement in each performance category will be 3 or higher on a 4-point scale.

Statement of Actual Results: students did not meet expected results. The average rating of student achievement in each performance category was less than 3.0.

Problems Encountered (if minimum standards were not met):

Actions Taken (such as curricular changes or improvements)/Recommendations for Further Action: faculty reported that students’ writing difficulties may be due to lack of practice. Therefore, future assignments will include additional writing exercises.
