If you like classic Van Halen, or you just like to have a good time, you should check out The Atomic Punks when they come to Andover, MN... They play there about once a month. Check their show calendar. I'll be going up again! I have to hear Panama and Jump next time!
The Shaw Brothers from Hastings, MN, started the night with quite a variety of tunes from likes of Neil Diamond, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels Band, Billy Idol, AC/DC, and Creed.. The special appearance of Kid Rock was over the top!
I met some good people at the show... Tom from Coon Rapids, MN, and Coon Rapids, IA... Jana and Paula were a couple of fun girls at the show.. Bill was another guy I talked to at the bar. I also met Wendy, a girl from the Czech Republic who was looking for a husband. All fun people to hang out with and have a good time.
Make sure you go see Starch Martins. You won't be disappointed!
A special thanks to the people at Days Inn and Suites in Faribault, MN, for a great place to stay and for the late-night special! That was a lot better than sleeping in my car!
