Unusual Place Names

Dakota, Austin, and Montana have become popular place names for babies. Ireland, Scotland, and Paris are beginning to be used as first names. Maps are being searched for names of towns, cities, states, countries, continents, rivers, lakes, and mountains that would sound good as a first name. Try one of these "place" names if you are shooting for more unusual.

Note - As with surnames, pretty much any place name can be given to boys and girls, but I have gone ahead and divided the names in this list, because some of them sound better for girls to me, and some sound better for boys.
