You Reap What You Sow!
There is 5 Principles of reaping and sowing:
1) You only reap if you sow.
2) You always reap what you sow.
3) You always reap quite a while after you sow.
4) You always reap much more than you sow.
5) Whatever you reap will be sowed and reaped again.
SCRIPTURE PASSAGES regarding reaping and sowing:
Job 4:8-9
Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap
the same.
4:9By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his
nostrils are they consumed.
You better sow good seeds (things, deeds, thoughts, the Word of God) or it will come back at you in a quantity worse than you have sowed it and you will be punished by God
Psalms 126:5
126:5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Even though it may be difficult, even painful to sow good seed, you will still bring in a good harvest and find joy in it
Hosea 8:7
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind
They, who have sown bad things in the hearts of people, will be destroyed by a multitude of bad things with the strength of a hurricane
Matthew 13:3-9
And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower
went forth to sow;
13:4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way
side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
13:5Some fell upon stony
places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up,
because they had no deepness of earth:
13:6And when the sun was up,
they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
13:7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked
them:
13:8But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit,
some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
13:9Who hath ears
to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 13:18-23
18Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
13:19When any one heareth
the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the
wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is
he which received seed by the way side.
13:20But he that received the
seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon
with joy receiveth it;
13:21Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth
for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the
word, by and by he is offended.
13:22He also that received seed among
the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world,
and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh
unfruitful.
13:23But he that received seed into the good ground is he
that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit,
and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
It depends on where you sow your seed, if it will grow and be fruitful. But when you sow the good seed, which is the Word of God, in somebody's heart, who sees, hears and understands, it will bring a great harvest.
The other or further meaning of this part of scripture is that "the seed" is the "Word of the Kingdom" and I believe it directly refers to the preaching of the gospel in the end-times and the way it will be perceived.
Only the person who hears, accepts and understands the Gospel will be fruitful and part of God's great harvest.
Matthew 13:24-30
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
13:25But
while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and
went his way.
13:26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth
fruit, then appeared the tares also.
13:27So the servants of the
householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed
in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
13:28He said unto them,
An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then
that we go and gather them up?
13:29But he said, Nay; lest while ye
gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
13:30Let
both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I
will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind
them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:31-32
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his
field:
13:32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is
grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the
birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Here the Kingdom and the Word of God are agin shown in the form of a seed that hides great life in itself.
And once it is sown into the world it is going to grow strong and powerful like the mustardtree in the parable
Luke 12:22-30
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no
thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what
ye shall put on.
12:23The life is more than meat, and the body is more
than raiment.
12:24Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap;
which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much
more are ye better than the fowls?
12:25And which of you with taking
thought can add to his stature one cubit?
12:26If ye then be not able
to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
12:27Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not;
and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these.
12:28If then God so clothe the grass, which is to
day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more
will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
12:29And seek not ye what ye
shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
12:30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and
your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
This underlines the Lord's promise to care even for those who are not able to sow and reap.
He reminds us to have faith and not be doubtful as God, our heavenly father, knows our needs and will provide - always.
2 Corinthians 9:6-14
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
9:7Every
man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
9:8And
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9:9(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the
poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
9:10Now he that ministereth
seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your
seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
9:11Being
enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us
thanksgiving to God.
9:12For the administration of this service not
only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many
thanksgivings unto God;
9:13Whiles by the experiment of this
ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection into the
gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and
unto all men;
9:14And by their prayer for you, which long after you
for the exceeding grace of God in you.
9:15Thanks be unto God for his
unspeakable gift.
Galatians 6:7-10
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap.
6:8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the
flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the
Spirit reap life everlasting.
6:9And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
6:10As we have
therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto
them who are of the household of faith.
