1)Who's Idea was it originally to form a VanHalen Tribute band?
Bart Walsh our Guitarist and Scott Paterson our Drummer came up with
the
Idea. They had an original band called Lancia. Thier singer kind of
walked
away from the project. They had one show left contracted at the Roxy
in
Hollywood. Bart called me and asked me if I would like to fill in for
thier
singer. I said I dont know any of your songs, Then he said Fuck our
songs lets
do some old Van Halen. That was the Birth of the Atomic Puinks 5 years
ago.
2)When Diamond Dave brought you to the Howard Stern show,How did he set
it up for you guys?
David lee roth never borught us on to the Howard Stern show. Howard
Stern
responded to a Video and audio tape. that our bass player had sent him.
He
played our tape on the Radio and he said he was amazed. He made jokes
about us
as you know Howard does. When Howard had David Lee on for an interview
Howard
played our tape for David. David gave us an off handed compliment-"That
singer
sings just like me man, off key in every chorus"..
3)Of the original members of VH who has been the totally nicest of the
bunch toward the Idea of a tribute band?
All of them have been very cool and gave us thier blessing. Also
Michael
even came up on stage and played a set with us.
4)Have you ever concidered doing Sammy Hagar Era Material,If so what
would it be?
No sammy Van Halen here. That would make the natives restless.
5)What is the band's favorite VH song to play Live,or In practice?
All Van halen songs are great. I dont have a favorite because I love them all.

6)Who was the person who prompted Michael Anthony to jam with Atomic
Punks?
Michael's bass tech actually got him there and got him on stage. His
bass tech has been coming to see us for years, as well as Eddies guitar
tech.
7)What was the setlist (if you can recall) of that evening?
Dont have a clue.
