Antioch Center for Training Servants (ACTS) is a division of Intensive Care Ministries of Quincy, Illinois. Intensive Care Ministries is a multi-faceted grief and trauma resolution ministry. ICM's focus in all facets is to help people recognize and know the presence of God in their life, and to bring healing to the wounded areas in their spirits, souls, and bodies.
History
Antioch Center for Training Students has sprung forth from under the strong apostolic and prophetic mantle of Intensive Care Ministries which was founded in Houston, Texas in 1992. (Go to the Homepage of ICM, Link below, to learn more about this.) This school, previously named The Sons of Prophets School, was birthed in zeal, miracles, healing (spirit, soul, and body) and freedom of worship, but most of all a passion for God Himself and revival of all nations. Healing, restoration, training, and comfort are the very heart of the work of Intensive Care Ministries throughout the earth. The Lord birthed Antioch Center for Training Servants for several reasons: some have been told they could never have credentials due to their gender; some have labored to bring healing to others without any support or recognition from other ministers; some have need of mentoring and learning to walk by the Spirit of the Lord, etc. The purpose of ACTS is to provide Godly instruction, validation, support, nurturing, relationship, accountability, resources and encouragement for students who are called to be a servant /minister. We endeavor to mentor those who desire mentoring, and provide grace-based resources and information, as well as offer ministerial credentials.
Our Vision: to train the Leaders in the Body of Christ so that they might serve the sheep of God's flock. He has sent us to gather the outcasts and to bind up and heal the broken-hearted. He has sent us to proclaim liberty to the emotional, spiritual, and physical captives who are bound in dark prisons.
Our mission : to heal the walking wounded in the Body of Christ (including leadership) and the world through the blood of Jesus Christ, bringing them into a full knowledge of Christ and equipping them to step into their individual calling and purpose. To offer Christ's love, salvation and healing to all, raising up the "five-fold leadership servants" to serve in churches/ministries in many nations, and to train men and women how to walk in the apostolic and prophetic.

Training and Sending an Army We believe God has raised up Antioch Center for this hour to train men and women of God who will boldly and fearlessly preach and teach the gospel in the power of the Spirit. They will be sent forth carrying revival fire to the nations "filling the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord". We believe that God places an indelible mark upon the hearts of all who come to Antioch Center -- a hunger for God that does not fade. |
Equipping ACTS provides a basic foundation in the Word of God as well as provide an environment for spiritual growth and development. We are producing radical servants who are grounded in the Word, know how to flow in the anointing (individually and in teams), are trained in the essentials of practical ministry, ablaze with revival fire and ready and willing to give their lives for the work of the gospel. These servants have counted the cost and have committed to serve the Lord no matter what. |
Holy Spirit Teaches All Things The curriculum at ACTS has been prayerfully designed to match the spiritual thrust of Intensive Care Ministries-- to be transparent and "real" people offering hope to the wounded, and to allow full freedom of the Holy Spirit to manifest Himself in and through each life to the glory of God. We depend on the Holy Spirit to bring His freshness and freedom into every aspect of the Center. We give room for the ministry of the Holy Spirit at all times. No two classes are identical. We focus on what the Lord is saying |
Local Church Emphasis Antioch Center (ACTS) recognizes the importance of the local church. We train leaders for the express purpose of strengthening the ministry of the local church. We do not want to replace the local church but enhance and bless it. Therefore, all students, unless they are already in full-time ministry or placed in full-time ministry at the completion of the course, will be strongly encouraged throughout the program to serve their local church. In order to see this goal accomplished, we will work closely with the students' |
We believe that book learning knowledge is not enough to form and shape a minister of God. Bible and book training is vital and necessary, but there are simply some things that cannot be learned without hands on practical experience and development of spiritual character. Just having spiritual gifts does not make you an effective minister. EVERYONE is given gifts by the Holy Spirit. Character building is absolutely necessary to be all that God has called you to be, through the development of such qualities as: compassion, a TRUE servants heart, faithfulness, submission, self control, contentment, ability to work well in a team, and preferring one another in love. |
We take the call of training those with an office call (five-fold: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher) very seriously. The Lord has entrusted us with a tremendous blessing, preparing others for servanthood and service. We focus more on the apostolic and prophetic, as these have only recently been returned to the Church in fullness. It is a very heavy responsibility to whom much is given, much is required so the training must be intense. |
ACTS is not interested in religion or religious practices. We promote a deep personal relationship with our God, and accepting Him the way His Word reveals His nature: kind, correcting in love, long-suffering, gentle, powerful, forgiving, loving, compassionate, and sure. He desires us to shed all our pre-conceived ideas of what worship and serving God meant to us before, and embrace His grace-based servanthood. We believe that besides an intimate relationship with God, relationship and connecting are the most important things we need as humans. We will endeavor to facilitate that for all students, and help them |
