IS AS FOLLOWS...
The Stones were filmed in
perormance before an audience of friends and
family in two shows at London's Marquee Club
just prior to thier going into tax exile in
the south of France. The resulteant film was
slated for television broadcast-The Stones
wanted to make sure they wouldn't be
forgotten once they left Britain (fat
chance!). There were 2 cuts of this
program-The UK version is 35 minutes, The
European edit is 50 minutes THIS VIDEO HAS
BOTH VERSIONS. Neither
was ever aired in the US.
This is incredibly rare and the long version is a bit generated/blurry because of being lost, but it is very watchable and a real find!

COCKSUCKER BLUES and LADIES & GENTLEMEN were both shot during the STONES '72 tour. "C.B." documents the backstage sex(plenty of groupies), Drugs(piles of coke) and general antics of the band and thier crew. Which proved to be far too over the top for release to the public. L&GENTS documents the musical side of the tour. It's no suprise that L&G is the film that was picked for release. It was even promoted as a concert with a tour like schedule, playing city to city a week at a time. Tickets were even sold through Ticketron (at STONES prices)
