Augustine's FOTOZ was started in 1971 out of necessity. I had been unemployed
for almost six months with no job in sight. I had $1500 in my savings and built
my first store in the back yard! ... It was a photo drive-up. It took a few years
to finally realize that my business was going to succeed. We opened a second
store in Salem and it lasted 10 years. In 1980, FOTOZ Color Lab was started
and it remains the main store today. 1-HOUR FOTOZ was started in 1988 in Mt. Vernon
in the Times Square Mall. Most recently, we upgraded our store to do the new APS
(Advanced Photo System) film. In November of 1998, we opened our NEW store at 2225
