Born and raised in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Amy Jo Johnson began acting in high school after studying at Cape Cod's Orleans Academy of Dramatic Art. She moved to New York at the age of 19 to pursue a thespian career. In Manhattan, she continued honing her skills by studying at the American Musical and Dramatic Art Academy and at Lee Strasberg's renowned studio. With the realization that professional roles were more readily available in Los Angeles, Johnson made the move to the West. Once in Hollywood, it took only two months for the young actress to obtain work. She was hired to co-star in the long-running series "Power Rangers" which earned a cult-like following with children all over the world. Johnson portrayed 'Kimberly,' the pink ranger. "Working on the series was a great learning experience for me," she explains. After 132 episodes and two feature films based on the series, Johnson decided to move on. She quickly landed leading roles in the television movies "Suzy Q" (Disney Channel), in which she played the title character opposite Shelley Long, "Killing Mr. Griffin" (ABC) with Michelle Williams and Scott Bairstow, and "The Perfect Body" (NBC), where she played an anorexic gymnast opposite Cathy Rigby. On the big screen, Amy Jo can be seen in "Without Limits," a movie that chronicles the life and death of Olympic runner Steve Prefontaine. Johnson's talents encompass music as well. A self-taught skilled guitar player and soulful songwriter, she performs regularly at intimate clubs in the Los Angeles area. Currently, she co-stars in the new Warner Bros. Network series, "Felicity." Created by successful screenwriter, J.J. Abrams, the series is a poignant and humorous view of the painful reality of college life. Johnson portrays Felicity's best friend, 'Julie.' Recently, she completed filming a starring role in the independent film "Cold Hearts." Johnson lives on the outskirts of Los Angeles with her American bulldog, Lucy. In her rare moments of free time, she enjoys gardening, oil painting and of course, songwriting.

Born in 1970, AMY JO JOHNSON (Kimberly, the Pink Power Ranger), known affectionately to fellow cast and crew as "A.J.", began gymnastic classes at the young age of seven. Upon graduating from high school, Amy Jo moved to New York to pursue her thespian training and studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy as well as at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Amy Jo enjoys painting, singing and playing guitar. She hopes to have a career in the music industry in addition to her current work in film.
