Proofs of God's Existence

From the start, according to my mother, I was a curious child. Curious is my mother's kindhearted way of saying that I drove her crazy with all my incessant inquiries as to the why, the what, the where and the when of the universe around me. This need to know lead me to be an avid reader as I grew older and transformed me into an habitual student. I attacked one topic after another and in time I could claim to be an amatuer astronomer and astrophysicist, and amateur meteorologist, geologist, anthropologist, biologist as well as many others. In fact, I am known to family and friends as this countries largest national resource for pointless information and useless facts!

I can honestly say that just about all my intellectual pursuits, while fascinating to me, actually had very little meaning to life in general. That was until a few years ago. I became intrigued by Jesus of Nazareth. I wanted to study historical accounts of that time and once and for all seperate out the myths from the truths. Without question Jesus has been the most influential person in human history and I was determined to discover why. Well, I got my answers and alot more then I bargained for as well. I unburied a treasure more valuable then all the riches of earth... I found God.

In the 1800's the idea was planted by certain "scholars" that Jesus and his life were a myth. While there are some factions, including atheists, humanists, new age cults and even some Jews, that still cling to this fallacy for their own purposes, this has unequivocally been disproved by the tremendous body of research conducted by modern historians, archeologists and Jewish and Christian biblical scholars. Below are non-Biblical references to Jesus as a man of history and also some documentation as to the reliability of the New Testament as a historical document.
