I say "Vans" all the time so you buy shoes.

Show details:

Attended With: Pat, technically. However, I ended up seeing various act with a myriad of people from Michelle Perry to Chris LaCroix to John Cottee, to whomever was around at the band I wanted to see.

Venue: Was supposed to be the Langley Speedway, but rain moved it to the Hampton Coliseum, where the acoustics are worse then my garage.

Opening Act: Being that this was a big festival thing, there wasn't really one. There were plenty of small bands at sidestages, I think this was the one where the small punk band did "Bye Bye Bye," and it was funny.

Highlights: There were a lot of good bands at this warped tour. I remember digging MxPx. Crowd surfing during the Bosstones was sweet, and this was back before they started sucking. I remember seeing Jurassic 5 with Cottee right around the time some dude got thrown through a window. Green Day kicked ass, they were my favorite band in middle school. When they did King For a Day with Billie Joe in a thong, it was hilarious, if sorta sick. Hanging with Michelle was cool. Being the guy out of our group who found Flogging Molly (because I thought their name was cool), and getting to chill with them a little was pretty entertaining. I remember them offering me beer a lot.

Lowlights: NoFx. I remember distinctly how much they sucked, to the point where they might be the only lowlight on here. I also think I lost my shirt at this show. I remember running around without one for a while, but I might have still had it, that just might have been me being me.
