Illinois 136 is a tiny route that serves as a connector through Fulton to Iowa Route 136. Like IL35, it's hard to make out on state maps, and shares its number with the route it connects to in the other state; this is in an effort to make drivers think that they're the same route. It's a good idea to think of the pairs of routes sharing numbers in this way.

Intersections from west to east:

IL136 begins as Iowa Route 136 crosses the border from Iowa

IL84 at Fulton

IL136 ends at US30 near Fulton.

It only passes through one town, Fulton.
