US150 runs nearly due north-south from the Quad Cities area south to Galesburg, parallel to Interstate 74, which runs to the east of US150. US150 turns east-southeasterly at Galesburg, running through Knoxville and then crossing I-74 to run toward the north side of Peoria.
Intersections from west to east:
US150 begins at US6 just east of the Quad Cities International Airport and the interchange where I-74 meets I-280
IL17 comes from the west and joins US150 south through Alpha
IL17 breaks off and heads east
US34 at an interchange on the north side of Galesburg
IL97 east of Knoxville
US150 crosses I-74 shortly thereafter
IL180 south of Williamsfield
It passes through these towns: Coal Valley, Orion, Alpha, Galesburg, and Knoxville.
