MAY 14:SUNSET BEACH star Clive Robertson tied the knotwith his longtime love on a romantic private Island -and they were the only two guests at their wedding.Clive who plays businessman Ben Evans on Sunset Beach wed longtime girlfriend Libby Purvis May 14thon Necker island in the Carribean"it was just clive and myself"says the new Mrs.Robertson."It was just Clive and Myself"says the Happy bride"It was incredibibly romantic for us."the exclusive 74-acre island is owned by Virgin Atlantic Airlines mogul Richard Branson."It was very special,"adds libby an actress who met Clive at drama school in London."We were married by a minister.The two people who run the island were our witnesses.clive and I were supposed to do this last September,but the tripwas canceled because of hurricame George."Since clive is British and Libby hails from Austraila,they found it tough topick a spot for their wedding whererelatives could easily converge from around the world. NEW As of April 13th 1999 NBC has made the decision to Commit to another 6 months of Sunset Beach and to drop Another World from it DaytimeSchedule.More information coming as soon as it is available.

In recent news Sunset Beach has been guaranteed for another year of exitement however when the show was in doubt of renewal the ratings dropped .now that the show has been renewed viewers are coming back and the last ratings showed that Sunset Beach had for the second week in row a 2.0 while a .3 rise in the ratings .The campaign needs to continue because Sunset Beach has lost two charter characters Elaine played by the awe-inspiring Leigh Taylor-Young who can be contacted through her website at http://www.lty.com.Please write everyone above to show your concern about her leaving maybe even suggest a storyline. I personally feel that the loss LTY could be very bad news for the show.Paula played by Laura Harring is also leaving the show for storyline reasons. Lets write in and complain that these two wonderful actresses get a storyline that would put them front and center where they belong.
