GUIDELINES AND PURPOSES OF
IN HIS TRUTH MESSAGE BOARD
April 30, 2005
I have given this much thought and prayer and have decided that I will close down the message board here at In His Truth, until some other people can help me with moderating the board. Until then, it will remain down. It takes a considerable amount of time to watch over and make certain that people are following the guidelines that are clearly established. Over the past several years this board has proven to be a place where people can post words from the Lord, or other prophetic insights or visions that they have had. This is the purpose of this board, and I have thought that I’ve made that clear to those who come here. To those of you who have followed this vision, I thank you. I don’t relish continually needing to come back and remind people of this purpose and then have to delete posts that have gone astray. Some may consider these actions harsh, while others will understand. What I want us to do now is to pray and seek the Lord about what YOU personally can bring here. Some have brought scriptural insights and while this is good, again, this is not the purpose that has been clearly set out here. What I ask of you then, is simply to post what you believe the Lord is giving to you prophetically.
These are the types of messages that I consider going astray from this vision:
1. Topics, articles, questions, etc., that others can discuss about that are clearly controversial in nature. They may include the following, but are not confined to these issues alone:
A. The anti-christ
B. The rapture
C. Various denominations and their beliefs and doctrines
D. Cults
E. Political opinions and beliefs
F. Alien life
G. Pre-trib, post-trib, or other eschatological opinions about the tribulation period.
H. Church history and content
I. Original sin, forgiveness, baptism, church membership
J. Any doctrinal concerns or issues
These are the types of messages that I consider to be good to post:
1. Words from the Lord
2. Visions or dreams from the Lord
3. Judgment or discernment about a prophetic word that brings either validity, agreement, or some discernment concerning the prophetic word given. (Now, care is needed here, because I don’t want this to be something that comes from criticism, but comes from a heart that is truly discerning the truth. Stick to the subject of the word, bring up what troubles you with the word, and make your comments brief, and to the point, with scripture.)For information about judging prophecies, here is a good link:
Using Discernment With Prophetic Words.
*I would like ALL people who are here to develop their prophetic gift, and not to just reply or judge words. If you spend more time "listening" to the Lord, I believe that these things can and will be developed in you. You will also then, become more understanding in your assessment of the various words that are posted.
Rules of Conduct:
1. Please be courteous and kind
2. Limit replies to a post to no more than around 4-6 posts
3. Keep your posts no more than a page or two.
If you feel that you can abide by these guidelines then I welcome whatever you can bring to this
board prophetically. If however, these purposes are ones that you can’t follow, then I ask that you find another forum to post your comments and discussions there. I want this place to be somewhere that people can freely post their words from the Lord in an environment that is safe and kind. If these guidelines are not followed, then I have no other choice, but to either delete the posts or to ban the person that is not following them.
I am also planning on having folks register to the site, once it is opened up again. So, until then, let's pray about this and act accordingly, alright?
