Larry "the Legend" Bird
Larry Bird was a 6'9 SMALL FORWARD from the small town of French Lick, Indiana. "The Hick from French Lick." Larry attended Indiana State University, after withdrawing from Indiana University. In college he averaged 31.3 points. After college he went on and played for the Boston Celtics. He played 13 years for the Celtics. Bird always hustled, was fairly consistent, and excelled in most areas of play. He scored, a passed, a rebounded, a defended, was a team player, and could be counted upon when the game was on the line. Brid sometimes practiced three-pointers with his eyes closed. Not too many players have played harder than Bird. He also was member of the orginal Dream Team. He was the INdiana Pacers coach for three years. In his last year they were second in the playoffs.
