Hen arfau'r filwriaeth ysprydol,
  Trwy Dduw fyddo'n nerthol yn awr,
I fwrw dych'mygion y bobloedd,
  Fel cestyll yn lluoedd i'r llawr:
Ac hefyd i godi'r athrawiaeth,
  Sy'n ol ysprydoliaeth
      ein Duw:
I gychwyn tyrfaoedd o'r newydd,
  At Iesu i'w fynydd i fyw.

The old spiritual military weapons,
  Through God be they strong now,
To cast the imaginations of the peoples,
  Like castles in hosts to the ground:
And also to raise the teaching,
  Which is according to the inspiration
      of our God:
For crowds to set off anew,
  To Jesus to his mountain to live.
