O b'le daw y blodeuyn?
O'r ddaear; daear yw dyn:
Daear yw lle'r blodeuyn, - i'r ddaear,
Od ysgar, y disgyn.

[Er mwynhau doniau dynawl, - Odidog
 Hediadau prydyddawl;
 Pa ddaear fyd, - pwy ddyry fawl
 Yn eigion bedd unigawl!]
