There have already been over eight Castlevania games on systems from the NES to the Super NES and even to the PSX. Although the story isn't really new (the main character tries to kill Dracula...again), this is the very first Castlevania game to use 3-D polygonal graphics. Although the game may have a lot of action, it still is an adventure game. And it's just as good as any other Castlevania game.
