Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

Ahh, revisiting the classics. The very first, and still one of the only, Playstation action/RPG's is still one of the best. A dark, foreboeding adventure which pits you, the villainous hero, or heroic villain depending on your attitude, Kain. Murdered in life as a boastful nobleman, you are given the chance to return as undead, das vampyre! You take vengeance against your killers, only to discover a far deeper conflict (think globally) is the cause of your death. The conspirators will pay dearly, blood for blood, you will do unto them what they did unto you. Wow, what a Stephen King-ish turn I just gave!

Graphics: Dark and detailed, genuinely capturing the feel of the medieval dark age the game is set in.

SOUND: Creepy tunes and sound effects fit the mood perfectly. The slash of Kain's sword, the screams of your hapless victims, the sound of draining blood....There I go again!

CONTROL: Kain controls well as controls are very responsive, switching spells and items is a bit annoying though.

GAMEPLAY: Think "Night of the Living Zelda Clone" and you'll get the idea. Though the load times between screens can grate on you. I still recommend this game to whomever wanted to be the Black Night or the Evil Count himself. Be the Bastard who saved or condemned the world, and damn proud of it too!

GRAPHICS: 8 SOUND: 8 CONTROL: 8 GAMEPLAY: 8 OVERALL: 8

Find it at bargain basement price and proceed be as bad as you wanna, but remember, this is for the good of the world. Heh-heh...
