Chapters 31-35

**Chapter 31**

After we had finished all of our last day things that we wanted to do while we were still here, we climbed into the limo and headed for the hotel. A bit later, we had reached our hotel and climbed out of the limo with bags in hand. Brian invited Kevin up to join us for awhile. We reached our floor in a matter of minutes and walked to our rooms. I opened my room with my key card and walked in with my things. I went in to my room, put my stuff down, and then went out of the room. I walked across the hall to Brian’s room and knocked on the door. Brian opened the door and I walked into the room. I joined them in Brian’s room and sat down on the bed. “What is the plan for tonight?” I questioned as I looked at my brother. “Umm, we are going out to eat tonight as a big group for a last meal, since our flight is tomorrow.” Brian said. “Ah, any plans towards when I am moving to my true home bro?” I asked. “I think soon, because I heard my parents mentioning something about Dad and Harold going with you and your adoptive parents, then renting a moving van and loading up your stuff and hauling it down to the house.” Brian replied. “Ok,” I said as I looked at my brother. We sat in Brian’s room and talked until it was time for us to leave for dinner.

After dinner, we returned to the hotel and went up to our rooms. I used my key card and opened the door to the suite. I walked in, with my adoptive parents following close behind. I walked in room in the suite and I grabbed some stuff, so that I could take a shower. I took a shower and then changed into my pajamas. After I had done that, I packed up most of my stuff, except for what I was planing on wearing tomorrow and the basic things. After that was done, I decided that I wanted to see Brian and Harold for a bit, so I grabbed my key card and walked out of my room. I exited the suite and padded across the hall to Brian’s room and knocked on the door. A minute later, someone came to the door and opened it. I looked to see my brother Harold holding the door open for me to come in. I walked in and headed straight to Brian’s room. As I enter his room, I notice his suitcase open and him stuffing things into it. “Hey bro,” I said with a smile on my face. “Hey sis, what’s up?” he replied. “Nothing much. I finished packing and finished getting ready for bed, so I decided to come and visit with you guys for a little while before I go to bed.” I stated. “That’s cool,” Brian said as he continued to pack up his things. We talked until Brian had finished packing and decided that he was tired, so I said goodnight to him, Harold and my parents. I then walked out and went back across the hall to my room. I used the key card and let myself in. I walked into my room, set my alarm, shut off the light and went to bed.

At 6 in the morning, the alarm in Brianna’s room sounded and Brianna woke up with a start. She climbed out of the bed and quickly turned off the alarm. She walked out of the room and saw that her adoptive parents were already up and making coffee for them to have. “Hey,” Brianna said sleepily. “How did you sleep?” her adoptive mother asked her. “Just fine.” She replied as she took a seat at the table. Just then, there was a knock at the door. Brianna got up to answer the door. “Who is it?” she called out as she approached the door. “It’s me sis,” Brian called out. Brianna pulled the door open. “Hey bro,” Brianna said. “Hey, the folks, Harold, and I would like you and your adoptive parents to join us for some breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Just wear whatever because we are just wearing pajamas and sandals down since we have a lot of time before we have to leave.” Brian stated. “Why don’t you come in while I go and ask.” I suggested to Brian. “Ok,” he replied as he stepped into the suite. Brianna walked off to ask her adoptive parents about it and they agreed. Brianna went in to her room. slipped on her Doc. Marten sandals and then walked out of the room again. She and her adoptive parents then joined up with Brian and they all walked out of the suite together. Brian went across the hall and went into the suite to get Jackie, Harold Jr., and Harold III. They then all headed down to the lobby, courtesy of an elevator. They walked into the restaurant that Brianna and Brian have both eaten in before.

After they got seated at a table, they poured over the menus to decided on what they wanted to eat. As they looked over the menu, a waitress came over and said, “I’m Erica and I will be your waitress today. Can I get you all something to drink while you look over the menu?” “Can I get an iced tea?” Brian asked. The waitress nodded in response as she wrote it down. “I will have an iced tea also,” Brianna stated. “The rest of us will have coffee.” Harold III said. “I will be back in a few with your drinks,” the waitress said. “At least it wasn’t Jen again.” Brian whispered to Brianna. Brianna smiled at that comment. Just then the waitress came back with their drinks and asked if they were ready to order after she passed out the drinks. Each of them nodded and then took turns ordering what they wanted to eat. “I will have the blueberry pancakes,” Brian said as he handed over his menu. “I will have that special that comes with eggs and pancakes and I would like my eggs sunny side up. Could I also get a side of white toast?” Brianna said before passing over her menu. “I will have a bowl of oatmeal.” Harold III stated as he passed over his menu. The rest of the group ordered what they wanted and then handed their menus to our waitress. After she got all of the menus, she walked away to place the order.

An hour later, they had finished at the restaurant and the adults paid the bill. After that was done, the group got up from the table and headed for the elevator. They took an elevator up to their floor and got off. After getting off the elevator, they headed to their separate suites to change and finish packing before they headed to the airport to catch their flight.

After entering the suite, Brianna walked into her room of the suite and pulled on a simple body hugging white tank top and a pair of hip hugging denim capri pants. She slipped on a pair of simple blue tennis shoes with socks. She ran a brush through her hair and then put her hair into two pigtail braids and put on all of her jewelry. After she had put on all of her jewelry, she placed one of her hats, the midnight blue colored one that she had bought the other day, on her head. She finished getting ready and put away the things that she had to. She did a quicky sweep of the whole suite to make sure that she had everything that belonged to her before she closed up her luggage. She brought her luggage out of the room and put it near the door, so that it would be easy to grab it up before they left. She went into the living room and sat down and watched tv until it was time to go.

Brian quickly pulled on a pair of khaki cargo shorts and a simple gray Nike t-shirt. He slipped his comfortable sandals onto his feet and ran a brush over his hair really quickly and easily. After he finished getting ready, he packed away whatever he had left out and put most of the stuff into his backpack that he was taking on the plane with him. He made sure that he had everything that he had brought with him before he closed up his suitcase and his carry-on. He moved his stuff out of the room and put it next to his brother Harold’s things. Only he and his mother were going back to Kentucky. His dad and his brother were going with Brianna and her adoptive parents to help her move into the house in Kentucky. A few minutes later, Brian heard his parents calling for him and Harold to come because it was time to go. They all grabbed their things and walked out of the suite.

They all had their things in the hall and Brian decided that he would be the one to knock on the door to get Brianna, Annaliese, and Jeffery. Brian went and knocked on the door to Brianna’s suite. A minute later, Brianna opened the door and Brian told her that it was time to go. She called to her adoptive parents to let them know and then shut the door. A few minutes later, Brianna and her adoptive parents stepped out of the room with their luggage. Brianna had two backpacks on, her blue Jansport and her new one strapped backpack that Brian and Kevin had given her and she was pulling her suitcase that had wheels. Her adoptive parents each had a carry-on and a rolling suitcase. They headed down to the elevator to get down to the lobby to check out before they headed out to the limo that would take them to the airport for them to catch their flight.

The adults finished checking out of the hotel and they joined up with the kids and gathered up their things before they went out. Then they walked outside of the hotel lobby and there was a limo already waiting for them. The driver opened the suitcase and put all of their luggage except for their carry-ons into the trunk of the limo before shutting the trunk. He then opened one of the doors so that they could climb in. They climbed in one by one and sat down. Brianna set her backpacks down and relaxed after the driver shut the door. The limo pulled away from the curb and headed towards the airport.
