CASTLE BOYS WIN PRINCETON INVITATIONAL!!!!
The Castle Boys team captured the Princeton Invitational victory for the second consecutive year on September 12, 2000. The Knights knocked off eleven other teams to take the trophy.
The Knights were led by senior Lewis
Kivett who came in 3rd. The
following Castle runners were senior Jason Lamar in 8th, senior Adam
McCuiston in 11th, junior Brent Martin in 13th, freshman
Jeff Scarafia in 40th, and senior Mike Carroll in 41st.
The Knights took the victory over
their closest competitor, Gibson Southern, by a final score of 75 to 87. Gibson Southern had been ranked as high as
15th by the IHSAA coaches association.
*In
JV action, Castle junior Nick Wagner won the race in a time of 18:38.
