Young Parents Striving for Success
YPSS
currently has 9 active members and grows every week. We are
in our third week of spreading the word about this new
organization and are in the planning stages for the summer
activity. Our goal is to help you get to school, stay in
school, succeed in school and improve your parenting skills along
the way.
Last
meeting before break is Thursday, May 8th 2:30-3:30 in

RESOURCE
NETWORK
Our
initial directory has members willing to share transportation in
the following areas: Valparaiso, Chesterton, Crown Point, Kouts,
LaCross and Lake Station. We also have members who would
like to share childcare or provide emergency childcare in these
areas as well. Members are in the early stages of planning
a Children’s Clothing Exchange Day over the summer. Students
can bring in their children’s outgrown clothing (clean and
in good shape) and trade up for the next size. Contact Meghan at

SUPPORT
NETWORK
YPSS
offers support groups on various topics for members as well as
personal student/parent mentors to assist you with combining
parenting and education. Suggested support group topics
include dealing with loss, step-family issues, in addition
to various other parenting issues. We currently have several
wonderful mentors eager to support young parents. Study groups
are also available as requested. Contact Jennifer at

will be offering a full range of educational topics at no cost to
our members starting in the fall. Website worth viewing:
