This is the Great Planes PT40 page. The PT stands for Perfect Trainer. As you can see in the pictures, this PT40 started off with a huge dihedral. I reduced the dihedral to 3/4 inches. I bought this trainer at a garage sale. The guy had it all framed up and then gave up on it. It came with a brand new Futaba Skysport 4 radio / receiver / battery / 4 servos, a brand new Great Planes flight box, a brand new OS .40LA engine and lots of brand new building items. I've got about $150 invested in it. I'll put it all together and fly it a few times and probably sell it to someone just starting out in the hobby. Here are two pictures. The first picture is when I got it home after buying it. The second picture is after I sanded down the fuselage and cut the wing in half and re-epoxied it back together after reducing the dihedral to minimum. I have to say, it turned extremely nice.
