Welcome to Fable's web site. This
web site showcases the music of Fable featuring: John Crafton Jr, JQ Crafton, Anthony
Gavoli, John Spreier,
and Joshua Willis. It also features
pictures and video performances of Fable. Fable
has released three albums to date including: Live at the Newport Art Museum,
Live at CAV 080398, and Live at the Odeum Theater.
In May of 1998 John Spreier
was asked to join the band Fable by its founder
John Crafton Jr. The band played New American
Folk Music with John Crafton Jr on six &
twelve string guitars, banjo & vocals; JQ
Crafton on vocals; Anthony Gavoli on bass &
vocals; Joshua Willis (Josh) on percussion &
vocals, and John Spreier
on six & twelve string guitars & vocals.
It was a vocal powerhouse with five-part harmony
and equally powerful clashes between the members
of the band named John. Their last performance
with John Spreier was September 19, 1998.
