Riot Grrrl montreal zine #1 we launched this spring 2000. 28 pages by alana, anne, bev, dana, ej, melissa, molly, sara, victoria m. a french version is also available "creativity and riot grrrl feminism run amok through the pages of this zine. This excellent zine captures many different voices and actions. Perfect zine style format. it's a combo of typed and hand written pages. the illustrations and collages were powerful. there's a lot of good stuff in here, including a guide to starting your own record label and the chords you need to learn to play guitar. this zine makes you feel like you can really do stuff and make a difference. i only have one small complaint- in some places, the font is so small that i had trouble reading it. However, this is only a minor complaint- congrats to all involved.(AK)"-broken pencil review, issue 14, fall 2000
