Jon Eager was born on May 12, 1982 in Montclair New Jersey. At the age of nine he received his first guitar and has been playing ever since. Now, 10 years later Jon is currently the Rhythm Guitar and Vocalist in the alternative punk rock band "Jerk Alert" as well as a solo guitarist. His major musical influences are Green Day, The Atari's, Jimmy Eat World, Incubus, as well as other blues, rockabilly, and alternative artists......

Jon's first solo gig was his sophomore year in high school in 1997 for the Western Dubuque High School Pops concert. He preformed one song entitled "Two Miles" - a song he wrote for his friend Rob Luensmen who had passed away in a car wreck some months prior to the show. The first time he ever sang in front of anyone solo was that night on stage. Singing backup was his good friend Chism Ruden.

One year later another tragedy struck. Jon's friend Abby Oasterhaus passed away due to heart complications and once again Jon turned to the guitar. He wrote a song called "In Heart" and sang it at Abby's wake.

Throughout the years Jon has mostly played with "Jerk Alert" but recently started writing some new acoustic songs to raise money and also to just have some fun. He isn't devoted to playing with just one person - but more an ever-growing musical entourage of musicians that change frequently.

Jon is open to almost any type of show. To book him you can either email:
