Waves:

A Wave is a a group of songs, each relating to each other. Here's how Joshua explains it:

"Back in New York, I did this show called “waves”, the name of my band is Swim and we did a show called “Waves’ and it was like songs that were writen, like more than one song written about a singular experience, and so that’s what the wave was. A selection of songs that all tied together, you know cuz like, a wave is created by the wind and the amount of water the wave has to grow in. And so the experience would be the wind and the water would be me."

"I’m going to do a wave. Eso es un… aw man, I don’t know the word wave in Spanish. Um, ok so, as we all know, waves are created by the wind and water, they are created by the speed of the wind, the duration that it blows for and the fetch that the wave has to grow, the fetch is the… how big the water, pond or ocean. This, what I’m doing now, is called a wave. We used to do these shows in New York with the band, I have a couple actually, I might do another one, but you have to really understand the moment…but this one is about a love triangle, and so that experience is the wind and I am the fetch and this is it."
