ALDUS

ALDUS

Sprung forth from the ashes of nothingness, Aldus is a conglomeration of members of Violets for Nikki, The GummieDuffs, and other bands. Born in the year of our Lord 2004, Aldus have already established themselves as a prominent punk band in the Washington D.C. area. Playing a wide variety of punk and rock music, it most certainly exhibits signs of greatness....or eminent doom.

Hey, either way, Aldus is happy.

2000

  • Chris Lindsay ( aka lazy duff), Scott Tomlenson ( aka sgt. shakey duff ), and Noah Sorah ( aka noso duff ) united in Pimmit Hills, VA to form the first incarnation of The Gummieduffs.

  • Without a bassist, The Gummieduffs were forced to search the local scene for the most promising available. Dan (aka thuggery duff ) surfaced

  • Shortly after the creation, Scott became terminally ill and returned to his parents in Omaha where he is living the last of his life the the fullest today.

    2001

  • Soon after, Jesse Hottle showed his excessive drumming skills and joined putting Chris to rhythm guitar which he was glad to be on.

  • After a year of recording, playing shows, and practicing, Chris decided to leave for FL to make a new life for himself. He was replaced by Tom Godoy, an excellent guitarist from Falls Church.

  • Shortly after joining, tom found his musical interest falling away from the punk/hardcore aspect of The Gummieduffs and left to create his own band of smooth ska and rock.

    2002

  • Jesse became unreliable and was removed from the gummieduffs a few months after.

  • Dan just disappeared...again

    2004

  • Chris join back up and is in great form.

  • Also Krystal has just joined the band adding one hell of an incredible voice.

    2006

  • As of January 2006 we have let Adam go from the band

After 4 years of losing almost all of the original members to disease or instability, The Gummieduffs have reformed as a new band now called ALDUS and have created a new sound for themselves. From standard punk and ska, they have spanned out into blues, metal, hardcore and beyond. Through all of their rough beginnings, they have now re-emerged to face the world they started in with a new out look and stance. Their Metal/Ska sound is now being released on the DC scene whatever the effect.

Also what the hell happened to 2003? And now 2005?
