The Urban Voodoo Machine came into being on a seamy bourbon-soaked night April 2003, when
frontman and songwriter Paul-Ronney Angel and his band of rock'n'roll infidels set out to infect
London's underbelly with their Devil's Music.

On record, The Urban Voodoo Machine's sound is the unholy union of Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and
John Lee Hooker's storytelling blues with the dirty thrust of AC/DC and the Clash. Live, they are a gypsy maelstrom that snarls, shakes, rattles and rolls (occasionally with the help
fire-eaters, strippers and other musical miscreants), an explosion of rock'bop'n'stroll
filth that grabs hold of you right there and
yanks HARD.
