- Key Accountabilities -

HGCL are a large engineering, surveying and planning firm whose head office is based in Auckland. As the Administration Assistant to the Wellington Office I was responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day operation of the office, from water coolers to IT Management.
This role was varied and diverse, with a great deal of autonomy. One of my key accountabilities was minimising cost and implementing cost reduction strategies.
My editing and proof-reading skills were put to use through peer review of corporate documents and in ensuring that Quality Management procedures were adhered to.

~Project Management
In November 2002 HGCL moved their Wellington office from to larger premises in Lambton Quay. During the four weeks prior to moving I worked full time ensuring the smooth transition between locations, liaising with utility and other service providers and working to reduce the costs associated with the move. This was extremely satisfying and being able to function "Business as Usual" on the Monday morning reduced stress for all staff and kept productivity loss to a minimum.
