Congratulations to our new governor! May he be able to undo the damage that has been done by his predessor. May Ohio be brought back from literally the brink of economic destruction. May all Ohioans be able to have the health and security they need and deserve. NOTE: During ALL of the years that we have posted this website, we've NEVER, EVER allowed any politics to influence our work here at P.R.W. One man has single-handedly and forever changed that .... Gov. Robert Taft. We are not happy with that. Nor are we happy with what he's done to Ohio. After much soul-searching, we have decided that we can not remain silent. This man and his political "friends", to date, at the very least, have COST OHIOANS OVER ONE THIRD OF A BILLION DOLLARS through gross mismanagement and other "questionable practices." THIS IS ONLY WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT SO FAR! Every week seemed to bring out yet another corruption scandal from his office. His deputies and assistants have been convicted and he has been convicted. Some of his appointees earn yearly salaries larger than our President earns! HANDICAPPED AND ELDERLY HAVE THEIR BENEFITS CUT OR DENIED. HOW MUCH IS SPENT TO PROTECT OHIO'S NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS? OUR SCHOOLS AND CHILDREN FUNDINGS ARE AT AN ALL-TIME LOW. AND OHIO'S INDUSTRIAL BASE IS NOW VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT! Yet we watched Taft and his pals literally THROW AWAY over one third of a billion dollars! REMEMBER: that third of a billion dollars is only what we have been told about so far. How much body armor would that buy? How many people could get medical help? How many could be educated, fed, and housed with that third of a billion dollars? NOTE: One third of one billion dollars = THREE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS! And how many more Taft-directed losses to Ohioans will we learn about in the future? Ohio Revised Code § 2923.32 - Engaging in pattern of corrupt activity.
