Back in the late 1900 and up until about 1960 this place was buzzing like a beehive. Many people would go down to the depot just to watch the trains go by. This was when no none had TV to watch. What is now called the good old days. I know at least two passenger trains a day would come through. I used to get on the train of a morning and ride to Texarkana, and ride back that afternoon. The depot in Texarkana at that time had enough in it to keep you busy all day.
