This rattlesnake was killed first house east of the Lone Oak Church. It was 5 and half feet long with 16 rattles and a button. My father Tom Jones found it while mowing the yard. He shot it with a 22 rifle. It was killed in 1962.

This picture was taken in the back yard of the E. G. Van Voast home on North Ninth Street.
