Misty Trees

 

There are several faces hiding in the Misty Trees.

I don’t need to hold this one in another light to see them. They are thinly disguised.

We have this painting on our desk top, so I look at it every day, and at least once a week I see something new in it. It makes a great background. I feel when I look at this one that someone is looking back at me, or is He watching over me? My friend Diane says she thinks that He has His hand on our 'puters, keeping us in touch with people who are of like-mind and like-heart. I like to think that too. Almost everyone we play on-line with and have become friends with, at the different gaming sites, are spiritually seeking a better way to live.

Aren’t we all spiritual seekers, striving to reconnect with He who presides over us all?

God makes all things possible! He created us to be like Him, knowing that we can never achieve perfection, yet, giving us the drive to try.

Day Is Done

Day is Done was inspired by a woman at won.net.com named Crimsonskies. Her real name is Yvonne, and although I have no idea where she lives or who she is, I am grateful to her for the inspiration. Thank You Yvonne.

I feel warmth from this picture. The kind of warmth that I feel, when, I know that I am safe in the arms of my Creator. That sense that no matter what happens today, that God and I can handle it together – knowing that He will be doing most of the work. I know that there is nothing He can’t handle.

Although this is a day’s end picture, I want to share with you one of my morning prayers.

Good Morning God,

Please take my life and my will and care for them today.

Today is a gift from You, and together, we can have a beautiful day. My gift to You is yesterday, in thanks, for Your care and guidance, for the knowledge of Your will for me, and the power to carry that out.

If at sometime through this day, I take back my life and will, please realize that I’ve only borrowed it, and remind me that I gave it to you.

Please carry me today Lord.

I love You. Thy will not mine be done.

About seventeen years ago, I asked God to give me the words to say. I had not prayed much since I had been a kid.

I told Him that I was lost and I really wanted to come Home to be with Him. I wasn’t suicidal – the opposite in fact.

I had found new reasons to live and those reasons included God being the biggest part of my life. So those were the words that came to me. They work as well today, as they did when I first "heard" them. I am so blessed to know how loved I am.
