each additional mile (actually, researching this from the internet the exact
cost is $2.50 to enter and 50¢ for each 1/5 of a mile – taken from
http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/passenger/taxicab_rate.shtml … but this turns
out to be the prices as I have given them). How far can a person travel with $25
for cab fare?

A lease states the rent for a space is $300 for the first month and $80 for
each subsequent week. How long can you stay on $1000? {n.b. 1 year = 52 weeks, 1 month = 4 weeks}

You use a machine and are charged $1.25 for the first 30 minutes and $2 for
each hour thereafter.
