Four years ago, our Meowmie became disabled with spinal disease. She was so depressed. Baby and I discussed what we needed to do and we made sure we were always with Meowmie where ever she went. If she is on the couch, we are by her side. If she is in bed, we each take a section of the bed and protect her. Baby also listens for people who might try to break into the house at night and yells when he hears someone or something that might be bad.
We do funny little things to make meowmie laugh, and I clean her very good with my tongue just like I do with Baby. Meowmie likes that and it makes her smile. Even if she takes a bath Baby is always there making sure she will not fall and hurt herself, and he stays with her the whole time, with his paws on the side of the bathtub to let meowmie know she is safe.
We have to take care of our Meowmie now like she took such good care of us when we adopted her. We are her children and keep her from becoming depressed since she can not work any more. That is why we are good kitties who care.
