he shoots on by the spectators
he's a runner
The Marathon Runner
He's a runner
shining body and sweating brow
legs never stopping
joints sometimes popping
to be the best
the fastest somehow
he must keep going and never think
that there's a reason to stop
dedication and determination
and if he wins the race
he'll drop
but not before then
oh no my friends
not until that final mile
he runs right to
that ribbon and through it
then he can collapse and wear a smile
I just received my first level award, it already is a Level 2 award. Here it is.
I just received my new Level 3 award. I am so proud.
This is the Poetry Society Book.
This is my latest poem I wrote about the 4th of July. It's called "Watching the Fire Works".
The fireworks
The fireworks
I love them so
exploding stars
whose color fly
throughout
around
and all about
the darkened evening sky
reds and golds and yellows too
greens and pinks and cyan blue
they make me smile
just like a child
come sit with me
while I show them to you
can you see them
my old friend
brightening the dark of night
we'll sit so close
and share this time
it never again
may feel so right
I love them so
exploding stars
whose color fly
throughout
around
and all about
the darkened evening sky
I just received my Fourth Level Award. I am so furry proud. Here it is!
