WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF DOLLS

Little Friends

Since ancient times people everywhere loved dolls. For countless children
all over the world, playthings in the form of people have been
little friends. Dolls are loved by so many of us because they can share
our happy times and be companions when we feel lonley and comfort us when
we are sad. Dolls can be like magic and carry us into a world of
make-believe.

This is a picture of 2 of my favorite dolls, Huck Finn and Flossie. These are modern reproduction dolls by Dolls Etcetera, also a Seely Doll Sudio in Talent oregon. Hucks red hair and freckles just makes him irresistable. Can't you just hear him telling his little friend Flossie about his trip down the Mississippi? I am not sure if Flossie is buying all of his story? Flossie also would just steal your heart away with her innocent little face. Both dolls have soft bodies with porcelain legs, arms and head with glass paperweight eyes.
Very special dolls!

Dolls may be as tiny as a fingernail or larger than a real baby.
They are made of many differant materials--paper, cloth, tin, wood, leather
clay, corncobs, and plastic. to name just a few. The majority were made as
children's playthings, but some were meant for educational purposes to
amuse grown-ups. Most dolls are quiet companions, others can cry,
talk, sing a song, or recite a nursery rhyme, walk, throw kisses,or
even drink from a bottle.

Meet Eve!

This is probably one of my most favorite dolls, also from Dolls Etcetera,Talent, Oregon. She is an antique reproduction, a Long Face Jumeau, a French child of the Cira (1880)She has a fully jointed all porcelain body with beautiful glass paperweight eyes.I chose to make her clothes and dressed her in a french style very beautiful dusty pink satin with cream colored lace dress. She is fully dressed with pantaloons, slip, dress and hat. The delicately painted face, her blonde curly hair and blue eyes makes this doll a very precious possession. I have chosen to call her "Eve"

Meet Morgan

Oh, The apple of my eye! This little gal came to me in her own special seat along side of my husband in his pickup as he was making a trip home from, you guessed it,"Dolls Etcetera" of Talent, Oregon. It would be hard to say which of us have grown the most fond of her...She is our companion, wherever we are, and that sweet smile that she always wears on her face makes her a pleasure to behold. She has a soft body with porcelain legs, arms and head with the same beautiful glass eyes as Eve. Her long dark hair has been braided and I have dressed her in a long burgandy dress with a ruffled bottom and a complimentary apron with an eyelet ruffle. The delicate painting of her face is a masterpiece of it's own. She is a real sweetheart, and just makes you feel good to be around her.
